Installation Problem

Windows Vista
If your operating system is Windows Vista, follow this procedure AFTER installing VDX:

  • Connect to your PC as Administrator
  • Go to C:\Program Files\Virtual Decorator\Xpert and click with the right mouse button on the file "DVXpert" (icon with a red X).
  • A menu will appear. Click on "Properties"
  • A window will appear. Click the "Compatibility" tab and check "Run this program as administrator"
  • Click "OK"
Then, you'll be able to start VDX simply by clicking the black and red VDX icon on your desktop

Error 1406
If, when installing VDX, you get "Error 1406: Could not write to Key", click on "Ignore" repeatedly, until message disappears (approximately 20 clicks).
