Product description
Buying VDX in a downloadable format does not enable you to receive it
on CD-Rom, and buying VDX on CD-Rom does not enable you to download it.
Funds accepted
All funds listed are in Canadian Dollars ($CAD) and
the taxes are applicable for all purchases made in Canada. Nexun Media
assumes no responsibility in such cases where the laws of your region
require that you declare and pay taxes on a voluntary basis.

Order cancellations
You may cancel an order at any time during the
purchase process. However, once the credit card information has been
entered and you have clicked on the “Continue” button, the order is
processed and it is no longer possible to cancel it.
Payment
Although we
obviously encourage electronic credit card payments, using our secure
transactional Website, we offer alternative payment methods to persons
who wish to use traditional payment methods when purchasing the Virtual
Decorator Xpert.
In Canada: traditional payments may be made by money order or check.
Other Countries: traditional payments may be made by money order or bank
draft.

Cookies
No trace cookies will be left on your hard drive;
only session cookies will be used to identify current sessions during
navigation on .asp type pages. No information may be obtained from these
cookies.
However, we do use our server log-files in order to collect statistics.
The information used is general data (i.e.: the number of site visitors,
the most frequently visited pages, the sites that refer the greatest
number of visitors, etc.) and not personal information.
Accessing your personal information
As an authorized Nexun Media client, you have free and open access to
all information regarding your account. Every Nexun Media customer may
therefore ask to be made aware, via email and free of charge, of all
information held by Nexun Media relating to their person.
Unless you make a formal request to have your records deleted, your
personal information is stored over an indefinite period of time. Should
you decide to have your files deleted, you would lose all your client
privileges as we would no longer have the records to prove that you are
an authorized Virtual Decorator client..

site Webmaster is the only person with access to the security codes
required to access your personal information. As a result, you must send
all file requests to:

IMPORTANT: For identification and confidentiality
purposes, please provide the following information when making your file
requests:
1- Given name and surname
2- Email address used during your subscription (when you filled out the
online form)
3- Password used during your subscription (when you filled out the
online form)
Failure to provide us with one or more of the above will prevent us from
fulfilling your request.
Changing your user profile
If you want to change your coordinates or your e-mail address, or if you
want to choose a new password, to download the VDX again, to ask for
technical support or to subscribe to our newsletter (which keeps you
informed about updates, new colour palettes available, special offers
and news about the VDX), click here.
Maintenance and security of your personal information
A) How? Your personal information is
maintained on a server protected from intrusions by a firewall. The
server itself is enclosed in a locked-access room, this one being
located in locked-access premises protected by an alarm system, located
in a secure building that is locked during non-business hours.
From the inside, only the
www.thevirtualdecorator.com site Webmaster has access to the
security codes required to access your personal information.
B) Why? Your personal information is stored for communication and
identification purposes only. These files will be used to identify you
if there is a problem downloading or using the Virtual Decorator or in
the event that an installation file is lost. Unless you make a formal
request to have your records deleted, your personal information is
stored over an indefinite period of time. Should you decide to have your
files deleted, you would lose all your client privileges as we would no
longer have the records to prove that you are an authorized Virtual
Decorator client.
We, at The Virtual Decorator, certify that your personal information
will not be given, loaned nor sold to anyone and that you will not fall
victim to any undue solicitation on our behalf.
However, if you selected the “I would like to be notified about
updates and information concerning the Virtual Decorator” checkbox in
the online subscription form, we reserve the right to communicate with
you via email to keep you informed with regards to software updates,
add-ons, new releases, promotions and news of interest relating to the
Virtual Decorator. If you did not select the aforementioned checkbox,
you will not receive any information or any updates.
C) Credit Card Number: Online transactions are completed in a
most secure environment on this site.
The latest in data-encryption technologies are used on this site to
ensure the confidentiality of all transactions. The SSL (Secure Socket
Layer) protocol that we use is also being deployed by some of the best
transactional systems currently in use.
Please note that the entire site need not be secure. Only the site
sections that allow the sending of confidential information require this
type of protection. If you would like to know if a particular section of
an Internet site is secure, you may verify the following two elements:
1- The secure-section address must begin with “https://”
2- A small “lock” icon must appear at the bottom of your browser window.
You may obtain further information by double-clicking on the lock icon.
We do not capture credit card numbers. During online transactions,
credit card numbers are encrypted* (the information may only be read by
the person with the encryption key) and are transferred directly to the
credit card companies (Visa – MasterCard) without leaving a trace on our
servers. The appropriate credit card company is the only entity that has
the encryption key capable of decoding your credit card number. (NOTE:
The above is a synopsis of a complex procedure that includes several
other security steps.)
*Encryption is a technique that allows for the
secure transfer of transactional information via public exchange systems,
such as the Internet. The goal of the encryption process is to scramble
the transactional information so that the original message may not be
understood, in whole or in part, by unintended parties.
Returns
Due to: 1- the nature of the product (software either
downloadable or on CD-Rom) and 2- the detailed description of the
product provided on our Website, which we believe enables consumers to
make an informed Virtual Decorator Xpert purchase decision, we do not
provide product exchanges or reimbursements (except for CD-Roms that are
not unwrapped. Shipping fees are not refunded).
Guarantee
We guarantee that the Virtual Decorator Xpert will
function satisfactorily on a computer that meets the
minimal technical requirements.
However, should the Virtual Decorator Xpert fail to operate
satisfactorily on a computer that meets or exceeds the
minimal technical requirements, the user must contact us
immediately. Keep in mind that if it is not possible to install The
Virtual Decorator, or that it does not work in its initial application,
all is not lost - it may be as simple as an incompatible computer
configuration. Should such an event occur, we will deploy all efforts
necessary to discover the source of the problem and rectify the
situation to ensure the proper operation of the application.
If, our efforts notwithstanding, it is not possible to rectify the
situation and have the Virtual Decorator Xpert application operating
properly on your computer, you will be reimbursed for the cost of the
Virtual Decorator Xpert.
Important: Please note that slower performances related to less powerful
computers do not constitute operational difficulties and will not
justify reimbursement.
