Virtual Decorator Xpert (VDX) is the ultimate colourisation software.

Each VDX feature was carefully evaluated before being integrated into the application.

The development team’s guideline was to create an application allowing users to paint their own digital photos using intelligent, practical, intuitive and easy-to-use functions while avoiding unnecessary steps and maintaining the ergonomic operating mode offered by previous versions of the software.

As a result, the VDX was developed with, among others, the following functions:

• Easy and accelerated import of your digital photos into the VDX
   
• Photo editor that allows you to rotate the image, adjust contrast and brightness, as well as crop the image before painting it in the VDX
   
• Image adaptation and colourisation all handled within the same interface
   
• Intuitive and easy-to-use surface cropping tools
   
• Simple surface contour adjustment using “anchors points”
   
• Intuitive colour application: click on the colour, then click on the surface to be painted
   
• Suggestions for trend-colour combinations
   
• Save feature for your favourite colours
   
• Powerful colour search engine (by name, code, keyword, first few characters)
   
• “Colour Picker”: Click on a colour in the image (Ex: fabric, wallpaper, etc.) to find the paint colour within the selected brand that it most closely resembles
   
• Variation of the level of colour transparency/opacity applied in the photo in order to adapt the image to every situation (lighting, shading, dark walls, textures, etc.)
   
• Before-and-after photo display for effective comparison
   
• Ready-to-paint images, provided by the brand name paint manufacturers
   
• JPG format save feature (Ex: to send via e-mail)
   
• Create an unlimited number of folders to save your projects based on a classification system of your choosing (Ex: “Bathroom” folder, “Master Bedroom” folder, “Mrs Smith” folder, “Chez Antoine Bakery” folder, etc.)
   
• Folders and images arranged by name or by date
   
• Direct access to information on the Web: boutique, retailers, promotions, tips, etc.
   
• Direct access to exclusive services available only through the VDX: 911 technical support, animated tutorial and discussion groups.
   
• “Print Preview” function allows you to view before and after photos, add comments, associate selected colours with their corresponding codes AND calculate the quantities of paint required before printing out your project!

What’s more, Virtual Decorator Xpert offers ibridTM functionality allowing you to, among other things, display the colour palettes available on your hard drive as well as those available for download over the Web, in real time, and to access the discussion groups – all without quitting the program.
